STEM/STEAM TRAINING FOR ICT TEACHERS IN GHANA

Micro:bit Educational Foundation in partnership with MakersPlace will be organizing FREE STEM training for ICT teachers during this year summer break.

STEM/STEAM Teacher Training is a 5-Day practical training aimed at developing 21st-century skills amongst teachers both private and public at no cost to the Teachers and their schools. Topics the teachers will be experiencing include: Emerging trends in Technology and  21st Century Learning, Concepts in  Curriculum Development and Delivery Strategies(Concept based learning, Project based Learning, inquiry based learning, Brain based learning) The STEAM Teachers will be made to demonstrate skills in Physical computing using micro::bit, Develop and initiate a STEAM Based project, and Exhibit the developed Project.

We invite the participation of up to twenty (20) ICT Teachers to participate in this maiden STEAM Teacher Training opportunityThis Five-Day training will be conducted by MakersPlace Facilitators and will take as follows: Monday to Friday, August 8 – 12, 2022, (9:00am – 2:00 pm) EACH day.

Each school is invited to send one or two Teachers who would then teach the STEAM Programme. The Training is open to Public and private schools in some selected Districts in the Greater Accra Region.
