MINOAN ROBOTSPORTS COMPETITION EGYPT

13 December 2024

Future University in New Cairo, Egypt

Sports categories require great ingenuity, engineering, coding, strategy and teamwork. For each Sport, there is no single right or perfect solution, but indefinite ways of approaching the given task, in order to achieve the best result. The challenges are short but multidimensional, designed to give participants the opportunity to overcome themselves, not only during the preparation process but also during the actual races!

The competition aims to cultivate in students creativity, teamwork, problem solving, ingenuity, healthy competition, while at the same time being taught through sports robotics, engineering, programming, mathematics, physics.

Each team can take part in as many sports as it wishes, always following the rules of each sport
Integrating robotics into the curriculum not only teaches students to design and build machines but also enhances their ability to troubleshoot and innovate, as seen in schools where students have successfully developed solutions to real-world problems, such as automated recycling systems and disaster relief robots. Although some may argue that implementing robotics education requires significant investment in resources and teacher training, the long-term benefits far outweigh the initial costs, as schools with robust robotics programs have demonstrated enhanced student engagement and improved academic outcomes across STEM subjects.
